the other side out back through the bedroom:
Pictures never do rainbows justice, and now I'm regretting depending on it for today's picture. As much as I love photographs, there are many things that just do not translate from reality. I find this often the case when considering nature. I can be stirred so deeply by some natural things (I have a thing for trees in particular) and seeing them in a photograph pulls all the sublimity out of it. It's the next best thing, though, when not able to experience the reality. So, here's my next best rainbow for you all.

There is too much smog and not enough rain here. The next best rainbow is as close to the real thing I've been in ages!
This may be lame but maybe you can achieve a spiritual oneness with the rainbow or trees or nature in general as do Native Americans say they do. That may allow you to view your picture taking from an angle that gives you more satisfaction. Sway with the trees as they do in the wind, look down from the rainbow and see what it sees as it towers over us, Visualize nature as a concert of melodic instruments that you are a part of. Of course you will be limited by the mechanics of the camera but maybe after thoroughly learning your mechanical paint brush's abilities your new way of viewing will make up for its limitations. LMF
