Hawthorne Aglow
I was playing with long exposures and flashlights one night and came up with this image. Though coincidental, the image's dark romanticism seems appropriate for Hawthorne. There's a literary term I'm trying to attribute to it, but I can't drag it out of my memory. Any suggestions?

Too dark on my computer. Couldn't make out objects unless zoomed in. Maybe if the background books where more contrasted or delineated to look more like books. I first thought they were bottles. Of course I am a layman. LMF
Well, some of them are bottles... Are you sure your monitor isn't set at a low brightness? They come out a little bit different color (a little cooler) on Jay's computer but they're not much darker.
This photie reminds me of a scene from that kids book, "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler." Did you ever read that? About these kids who get trapped in the Met at night. Always one of my favorites as a kid. :)
Fun literary term suggestion: inciting incident.
